Butterfly Bakery Now here’s another good story, with the FDA actually front and center.  Butterfly’s Facebook was so over loaded with negative remarks that it was taken down.  http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/03/15/new-jersey-bakery-shuts-down-over-misbranded-products/

Ronald Reagan famously said, “Trust but Verify”.  At the signing of the INF Treaty, his counterpart Mikhail Gorbachev responded:  “you repeat that at every meeting,” to which Reagan answered:  “I like it”…I like it too.

Great site, have you tested mama lupe’s low carb tortillas yet? These are pretty good, not sure I trust them though.

      Bobby,

I have always felt Mama Lupes tortillas are not lowcarb. I order them from Netrition long ago and they jacked up my blood sugar big time. I am not sure I had done any product testing at the time and I just threw them away and left it at that. The first ingredient is whole wheat flour which tells you right away it is going to be a higher carb food. If there are 22g carbs in ¼ C whole wheat flour what does that tell you? Let alone whatever the carbs are in cornstarch and soy flour.
